The scope of work for this project consisted of the complete demolition and replacement of the existing roofing system on Building 102 at NAS Oceana. Work included removal of all existing roofing materials down to the structural concrete deck, followed by installation of a new fully adhered SBS-modified bitumen roofing system consisting of a fully adhered tapered insulation package, coverboard, vapor barrier, flashing systems, and associated sheet metal components such as gutters and downspouts.
All work was executed while maintaining continuous building operations, requiring careful coordination, protection of interior spaces, and strict adherence to FOD prevention, safety protocols, and NAVFAC requirements.
